We started our daughter in swimming lessons with Wendy at age 7. She had missed opportunities to swim in the pandemic and was afraid of submerging her face and of going up to even her neck in water. Wendy's patient and gentle teaching has gotten her now, 2.5 years later, to confidence and much more stamina in the water. She can now swim the length of the pool, dives in the deep end for toys, and is now working on more advanced techniques. Most importantly, she loves her lessons and is so disappointed when she has to miss one.

Wendy at Breakwater Swim is simply the best little kid swim teacher there is in Spokane. She is not only kind and wonderful with children but she is incredible with what she can do to get kids water safe! She has taught both of my boys to be able to fall into the water and roll over get to the surface and float on their backs by themselves before they were even walking! She has an incredible ability to meet every child where they are at from learning to put their face in to knowing all of the strokes and successfully trying out for swim teams! I cannot recommend Wendy enough. I have sent all of my friends to her and she has taught all three of my kiddos from the time they were babies.

I highly recommend Breakwater Swim Club!! They are awesome! I am an adult (grandma) beginner swimmer, with a slight phobia/fear of water, especially triggered if it's over my head, and/or putting my face in the water due to a few traumatic experiences when I was a child. When I became a mother, I was adamant that my daughter learn how to swim, knowing I could never save her if she got into trouble. Fast forward, I am now a grandma. And figured it's time to stop dreaming of summers playing in the water with my family, face my fear, so I can join in the fun! With a distant goal of using swimming as athletics. Scheduling was so simple, and Kaylee, my swim instructor, is patient, understanding, and very non-judgmental! She had me blowing bubbles out of my nose under water my first lesson!!! I've learned so much in just my first month, treading water, how to flip over and float and kick, When I start to panic, I can rely on these skills . I look forward to each lesson, and for the first time in my life, I am gaining confidence as a swimmer!!
